Do Less, Enjoy Life More
There is a new international rage that is called The SLOW movement. It started several years ago in Italy and is rapidly spreading. The idea is to stop rushing through your life without getting a chance to really enjoy anything.
Most American families are stressed to the max by overbooked schedules. This year resolve to do less and enjoy more. Plan to have dinner together as a family, without having the TV on, and rushing out the door to the next event.
Choose your activities carefully and limit your commitments in the evenings.
Give up commitments that you no longer have time for or enjoy.
Have your children choose just one activity per semester. Arrange their schedule to allow plenty of free time to spend thinking or reading or spending quality time with the family.
Have a family game night at home and play old fashioned board games and make popcorn.
